It’s a deep seated fear of being too much
of being a bother; being human.
It’s careless neglect of your self,
that boundaries remain unchecked.
It’s easier to mask your pain with a smiling guise,
than admit to someone their actions did traumatize.
you’d bleed on concrete your secrets untold before you’d say ‘you hurt me and it’s not okay’ bold
it’s impossible to be too much by being yourself,
a disservice is done to you by keeping it shelved.
you’re allowed to not be okay, sometimes it’s really not okay.
