I woke up to the sounds of buckets fighting by the hostel tap. Could I not have one peaceful morning? I know the bathrooms would soon be crowded but five more minutes please.

Tina, don’t you want to wake up?”

My roommate asked, disturbing my morning even further.

“Argh,” I groaned, adjusting my wrapper to cover my head as if to block out the morning noise and her voice.

“Sylvia please leave me alone, the sun hurts my eyes.”

“Vampire.” She giggled as she flapped her bed sheets making her bed.

I could feel her walk towards my bedside. “Didn’t you say Tony was coming today?”

With a speed that I could only describe as that of Barry Allen, I leaped out of my bed and ran to the tap to fetch my own water, almost pushing Sylvia.

“Because of boyfriend now, you want to break my legs. God of the singles, save us!” Sylvia gestured towards the heavens as her laughter trailed behind me.

I had my bath quickly so I could get ready before he arrived.

He had called when I was in the bathroom, so I texted him when I got out.

He did not live very far but he could not visit often because of his job, and my studies. We discussed that we wanted to give each other space to grow. So, these visits were very much anticipated.

My dolled-up face received a call that he was outside and again, I exhibited my Barry Allen skills.

Immediately he saw me, his face lit up with smiles and my knees almost gave up beneath me. How could one man be this handsome? I rushed to him and him to me. He smelled amazing.

“I missed you,” his voice soft against my neck. My knees left me again.

“I definitely missed you more.” I replied as soon as I found my voice.

We let go of each other. Our faces bright with smiles and we began to talk about our week. We strolled to a nearby restaurant so we could sit comfortably, taking turns to ask questions, talk, laugh and tease.

The evening came too quickly, and he had to leave. I hated this part and I hoped he did too.

“Alright then,” I spoke up mischievously, “time for you to go.” I turned my back to him and feigned skipping away.

“Where do you think you are going?” his hand held my hand, his voice low.

I love when his voice got like that, it made me tingle.

He dragged me to him and placed his right hand on my waist, with a roughness he knew I liked.

He teased me by hovering his lips above mine.

“Why are you leaving me like this?”

“Like what?” Our voices not more than whispers.

It was dark out already. Nyx the night goddess had begun her daily stroll with her lover Erebus, the god of darkness. I too felt like she, as I basked under the dimly lit sky with my lover.

I stared at his lips, I wanted them on mine. But dare I say it?

“I can play this game as long as you want,” his left hand circled my behind.

I giggled, “can you really?”

“Yes,” he bent his head and kissed my neck, I gasped, and he chuckled.

My hands went round his neck and I pouted, “that’s cheating.”

“Yes, yes, it is.”

I smiled as I enjoyed his hands playing with my body.

He always made me feel like the most alluring woman, I loved it.

“So, you’re going to make me beg?”

I asked, looking up at him with begging eyes.

Suddenly, his lips descended on mine and held my lower lips, sucking in its softness.

Before I could react, his tongue found mine and they danced with glorious abandon. His left hand held me steady, as my knees did give way this time.

He gave me no time to recover, his lips followed a trail to my neck while his right hand, pulled at my braids, exposing even more of my neck.

His mouth danced on my exposed neck, and I was lost. Lost in his groans, his kisses, his hands.

I clung to him for dear life, until his lips found mine again, swallowing my moans before the darkness heard them.

“I love how you taste,” his dark voice, not at all concealing his moans.

“You should go back in,” he said with a smile, finally letting some air pass between us.

I was still shaking from the attack of his lips. I really did not want him to stop.

“Go on,” he held my chin and gave me one last peck on the lips.

“Don’t make Sylvia worry.”

I managed a shaky smile, as he held my hands and I watched him give me a gentleman’s kiss on my fingertips.

As if he wasn’t the one who had just ravaged me and created a puddle between my thighs.

Butterflies? I felt the whole zoo in my tummy when I was with him.

My knees finally returned to me, and I walked away to my room after more kissy farewells.

“Tina,” Sylvia looked up from her phone when I walked into our room, “you are finally back. Are you okay?”

“I am great,” I let out a huge, dreamy sigh and dropped on my bed.

“Babe you are glowing oh. You’re sure you and Tony did not hanky panky?” Her eyes squinted playfully with a knowing smile.

I blushed.

“OMG! you did?” Her hands went over her mouth and she squealed.

Neither of us had, had sex yet.

“Noooooo,” I giggled, throwing a pillow at her, “we just kissed.”

“Just kissed she says,” she threw my pillow back at me.

“Let me do and kiss my own soon o, God of the singles.”

She made her signature gesture to the heavens, which made me laugh loud.

We kept giggling like schoolgirls until it was time for bed.

I wished she went to sleep earlier than me.

I had to take care of the puddle between my legs.
