Echoes of demise of their father keeps ringing in the heads till this day. Just before their father passed on, Rich and his siblings were properly cared for by their parents and uncle. Rich the eldest and favorite child of his dad got all the love and care he needed from his dad while growing up.
Sometimes, the love from Rich's father seemed to much before their relatives, they think that Rich's father will end up spoiling him ,without knowing that the man knew he was going to die. He needed his children to experience love and care while it lasts.
Few years later, Rich father was diagnosed of cancer, which later killed him after all attempts to cure him. The realities of life downed on Rich and his family after the burial of their late father.
Initially, they thought it was joke till everyone who seemed to care for them while their father was still alive, totally forgot them. Rich's mother couldn't give the children proper care they needed. This made Rich the eldest of them all start looking for menial jobs to help his mother cater for the family.
It wasn't easy when Rich started his menial jobs because he wasn't used to it, but as time goes by, he got used to it and started making little sums money which was used in running the family.
As time kept going by, Rich resolved to further his education up to the university level with the little saving he made from the job he did, together with the help of uncle Paschal, Rich was admitted to study law in the university of Calabar.
Life in the university wasn't easy for him, because he hardly feed himself, and uncle Paschal was just interested in paying the tuition fees only.
After Rich's second year in the university, he started a business in school with the help of friends and colleagues. Now Rich is doing marvelously well in his field of study and his business today. He is set to graduate as one of the best students this year.
Life without a father wasn't worth living for Rich, but he never allowed that to stop him from achieving his dreams in life.
My shout-out goes to those who has been through thick and thin, those without fathers and anyone to care for them. I'm proud of you and pray God to reward your efforts.
And to those who are planning to give up in life, I must tell you that giving is not an option. Keep pushing, keep believing. One day the hustle must pay.
