Where is home?
#IkoPoetryChallenge
My home is my husband
and I am his
together each other we've built
brick by brick
My home is my husband
and I am his
steady structures we'll be till we grow old
cemented with gold
when he causes cracks and leaves marks
I hold foundation so we easily make up
My home is my husband
and I am his
together each other we've ripped apart
brick for brick
My home is my husband
and I am his
and for this I bat not an eyelash while he prowls the streets
I know he will always end up homesick
And I will welcome him in with legs wide open
prepare something for him to eat
as I am trained to
It's a tale as old as time
Where is home?
Home is where the man lies.
