A Fair World

Is it naivety or hope,

To dream of a life that's fair?

A question that stirs within us,

An answer floating in the air.

Naivety whispers softly,

"Life is wild and often unkind,

To think it bends to fairness,

Is to close a thoughtful mind."

Yet hope sings a brighter song,

"Dreams of justice can ignite,

A world where fairness blossoms,

In the darkness, a guiding light."

So, is it naivety or hope,

To once in a while expect,

That life will gift us fairness,

A moment of pure respect?

We balance on this tender edge,

Between the real and the ideal,

Holding tight to hope's soft thread,

Even when it's hard to feel.

For in the blend of these two realms,

We find the strength to care,

To shape a world that's kinder,

And make it just and fair.
