Sometimes I feel like I missed my chance to become a phoenix, and you might tell me that I'm wrong—that phoenixes do not exist, that humans cannot become phoenixes—and you'd be wrong, because if you strip everything down to the atomic level, we have the elements required to be one. But we're blocks in a system, serving a purpose that impacts nothing. Why are we here? You want an answer to that? You think an old dusty book has all the answers, or a bunch of geometric formulas merged together, in the warmth of numbers and the coldness of precision? Maybe that's what we are. Maybe that's what we should be. Perhaps the answer is just to be.
